What the connection means
A six-sided socket inside the implant stops the abutment from rotating. It is easy for dentists to work with and very widely copied, so parts are easy to find.
About the surface
Sand-blasting and then acid-etching creates a rough, microscopic texture that bone grows into. SLA is one of the best-documented surfaces in dentistry.
