What the connection means
A six-sided socket inside the implant stops the abutment from rotating. It is easy for dentists to work with and very widely copied, so parts are easy to find.
About the surface
A sand-blasted, thermally etched surface that is made hydrophilic right before placement with a conditioning liquid.
