Mini implants
Narrow implants mainly used to stabilise a lower denture with a small, quick procedure.
What they are
Mini implants are less than about 3 mm wide. They can often be placed without cutting the gum and used straight away to hold a denture.
Limits
They are not as strong as standard implants, so they are rarely used for fixed bridges or back teeth.
Every mouth is different. A dentist can only recommend a treatment after examining you and taking X-rays.
